Garlic as an Alternative to Antibiotics

Garlic is one of those wonderful gifts from mother nature.  The medicinal benefits of Garlic can be traced back to Egypt in 3,200 BC.  Later Louis Pasteur discovered the amazing health benefits  of garlic and its antibacterial properties. While most of us know Garlic adds fabulous flavor to cooking but it also has amazing healing benefits. It boosts the immune system, regulates blood sugar levels, , lowers cholesterol and high blood pressure. Garlic is  a great alternative to antibiotics. It has antibiotic, antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties.  Garlic is a must have in everyone’s pantry and medicine cabinet.

Antibiotics have become overly prescribed leading to an imbalance in the body which then contributes to mnay health related problems such as candida albicans (chronic fungal overgrowth) weakened immune system, and gastrointestinal problems just to name a few.  Antibiotics certainly have their merit but are best saved for when they are truly needed. Over use of antibiotics have led to the outbreak of “superbug” strains such as MRSA (methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus).   Pediatricians especially love to prescribe antibiotics at the first sign of any ear irritation in children. When in reality there are other more effective ways to treat ear problems.   Garlic oil drops placed in the ear are soothing and will help treat ear infections.

I recommend cooking with a lot of garlic especially during the cold/flu season. One of the best concentrated forms of garlic is in a supplement called Allimax. This is a life-saving supplement to have in your medicine chest at all times. At the first sign of sickness I recommend taking a few of these capsules. Allimax has been used successfully by those suffering from chronic candida and also lyme disease.   Instead of racing to the doctors to get a prescription for antibiotics I recommend trying garlic first!
